CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Mumbai. Nani’s “The Paradise” and Siddharth Malhotra-Tamanna Bhatia’s “The Vvan: Force of the Forest”, released in cinemas this week, are seeing a box-office contest.
According to early figures, “The Paradise” collected about Rs 61.15 crore net in India in its first two days and about Rs 98.50 crore gross worldwide.
“The Paradise” made a strong start on its first day and continued to earn on the second day. Nani plays the lead role in the film. The film has received a good response from audiences in south Indian markets. According to available figures, its gross collection in India had reached about Rs 72.50 crore.
Siddharth Malhotra and Tamanna Bhatia’s “The Vvan” arrived in cinemas on 25 September. According to initial estimates, the film earned about Rs 8 crore net in India on its first day, while its gross business in India stood at around Rs 9.60 crore. The film opened with about 6,746 shows.
Collections for both films are expected to rise on Saturday. However, early morning figures cannot be treated as the final collections for the full day. A clearer picture of the performance of both films will emerge only after the weekend.
