CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Press/Press. ITDC News Bhopal: Parents-to-be Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal on Sunday hosted a baby shower function attended by close family and friends, show pictures and videos that have surfaced on social media.
Viral social media posts show that Varun’s parents, filmmaker David Dhawan and his wife Laali Dhawan, were present at the event, also attended by Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput Kapoor.
The video shows Varun cutting a cake with his wife during the celebration. While Varun sported a white shirt, the mum-to-be looked gorgeous in an off-shoulder white floral dress. David and Laali were seen cheering for their son and daughter-in-law.
Social media posts by fan clubs show Natasha flaunting her baby bump as she poses for a picture with her friends.
The 35-year-old fashion designer was later joined by Varun.
Writer-director Rumy Jafry, known for penning the scripts of Coolie No. 1 (1995), Hero No. 1 (1997) and Biwi No.1 (1999) in association with David Dhawan, was also present at the event.
Actor Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput Kapoor attended Natasha and Varun’s baby shower. Sharing a picture of a teddy bear-themed cake on her Instagram stories, Mira wrote, “Congrats VD & Natasha”.
Varun and Natasha, who tied the knot on January 24, 2021 after several years of dating, announced their pregnancy on January 18 this year. “We are pregnant Need all your blessings and love,” wrote the Sui Dhaga actor on Instagram, sharing a picture of him kissing Natasha’s baby bump.
On the work front, Varun will soon be seen in Kalees’s upcoming action drama Baby John, slated to hit the theatres on May 31. The actor is awaiting the premiere of his OTT series Citadel: Honey Bunny, also starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Besides, Varun is set to headline Dharma Productions’ Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari opposite Janhvi Kapoor.
