CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Paresh Rawal’s film ‘The Storyteller’ was recently released on a digital platform. In this film, he plays the role of a storyteller and expressed pride in working on a story based on Satyajit Ray’s work.
Paresh Rawal believes that the industry is facing a huge shortage of good storytellers. He pointed out that once there were legendary writers like Salim-Javed, but now, the industry needs quality content.
Speaking about OTT platforms, he called them a blessing for the industry. He stated that many films that struggle in theaters have found a new identity through OTT.
He also emphasized that dividing Indian cinema based on language is wrong. According to him, Bollywood and South Indian cinema should learn from each other, just as we learn from Hollywood.
