CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : A general body meeting of the Patient Welfare Committee was held regarding the establishment and operation of the Patient Welfare Committee at Govindpura Civil Hospital (Hatikhérakhéra). The meeting was chaired by Krishna Gaur, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare, and the Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities Welfare Department.

During the meeting, approval was granted for the formation, registration, and account opening of the Patient Welfare Committee.

While chairing the meeting, MLA Krishna Gaur emphasized the expansion of healthcare services and the development of the hospital into a model healthcare center. She recommended arranging chairs, tables, and other furniture through CSR funds. It was also directed that the construction of a biomedical waste collection room be undertaken using the Patient Welfare Committee fund.

She proposed connecting medical students for internship opportunities with the hospital to strengthen human resources and give students practical training.

Approval was also given for a registration fee of ₹10 for OPD and ₹30 for IPD services. Discussions were held regarding the construction of government staff quarters within the hospital premises, and instructions were given to submit proposals to higher authorities.

Further directives included:

Establishing nursing stations and store rooms in all wards,

Setting up a central supply store,

Providing internet connectivity, and

Ensuring food arrangements for patients.

CMHO Manish Sharma stated that currently the 100-bed hospital is staffed with:

11 Medical Officers

20 Nursing Officers

3 Lab Technicians

2 X-ray Technicians

3 Pharmacists

20 outsourced staff

He added that efforts are underway to enhance the hospital with additional staff, advanced medical resources, and improved facilities.
