Despite the administration issuing suspension action and show-cause notices, the patwaris remained firm at the protest site. In this matter, Patwari Association district president Mithlesh Verma has been suspended, while show-cause notices have been issued to 175 patwaris.
According to information, the patwaris have been continuously agitating over their demands. Due to the strike, several works related to the revenue department are in a position of being affected. Taking disciplinary action against employees participating in the agitation, the administration suspended the district president and sought replies from other patwaris. Through the show-cause notices, explanations have been sought from 175 patwaris regarding their participation in the strike and absence from their duties. Even after the suspension action, however, the agitation has not ended, and the patwaris are demonstrating at the protest site over their demands. With the strike continuing for 20 days, a deadlock remains between the administration and the Patwari Association.
