CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: New Delhi. Investment platform PB Money has received a licence from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to operate as an Online Bond Platform Provider (OBPP). Following the approval, the company is preparing to offer retail investors more options for investing in bonds through a strategic partnership with Paisabazaar. The aim is to make it easier to access bond information digitally, compare different options and complete the investment process.

After receiving the licence, PB Money will be able to provide investors services ranging from registration and KYC verification to bond discovery, order placement, payment coordination and post-investment services on a single platform. Through Paisabazaar, investors will be able to access information related to bonds and reach PB Money’s platform to complete investments.

On the platform, investors will be able to compare available bond options on parameters such as potential yield, credit rating and investment amount. This may help them understand the features of different investment options and make decisions in line with their financial needs.

According to Santosh Agarwal, director of PB Money and chief executive officer of Paisabazaar, making bond investment simpler and more accessible is part of the company’s plan. Bonds can offer regular interest income and diversification in an investment portfolio, but they also carry risks. It is important to understand risks such as default in payment by the issuer, changes in interest rates and difficulty in selling bonds when required.

The company has not made public the bonds that will be available in the initial phase or a definite date for starting the investment facility.
