Employment-Oriented PG Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management

CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India E-Press / ITDC News, Bhopal: The only government college in the capital city, Babulal Gaur Government Postgraduate College, BHEL Bhopal, offers a regular and employment-oriented PG Diploma course in Tourism and Hotel Management. This course also serves as a conduit of India’s traditional knowledge system.

Course Coordinator R.K. Sharma informed that the curriculum includes subjects like India’s historical heritage, culture, dance, music, tourist destinations, travel facilities, hospitality traditions, etc. The syllabus also covers introduction to India’s social and cultural identity, principles of tourism and travel, travel and tourism agencies, hotel management and catering, India as a tourist destination, and the use of computers in tourism management.

Principal Dr. Sanjay Jain stated that this one-year PG Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management, affiliated with Barkatullah University, Bhopal, is open to graduates from any discipline.
