CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of the 15th World Pharmacists Day, held at SAGE University in Bhopal, AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director Ajay Singh highlighted the importance of pharmacists in the healthcare system. He said, “Pharmacists are extremely important for society. They provide accurate information about medicines and treatments, which aids in patient care. Additionally, they make significant contributions to health preservation, enabling the prevention of diseases within the community.”
He further added, “The role of pharmacists is not limited to dispensing medicines. They are also involved in pharmaceutical research, contributing to the development of new drugs and treatment methods. Moreover, they promote health education, raising awareness about adopting a healthy lifestyle.”
Director Singh also emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of medications, stating that pharmacists ensure patients receive the right medicines in the correct dosage. His message underscores the invaluable contribution of pharmacists in safeguarding community health and enhancing health standards.
