CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, PIB Bhopal conducted a plantation drive at the premises of the Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind, Bhopal. On this occasion, officials and employees of PIB Bhopal and the Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind participated in the tree planting activity. After the plantation, Director of the Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind, Amitabh Pandey, said, “Today, we planted trees with PIB under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.” He further mentioned that trees like Peepal, Jamun, and Banyan were planted, which are considered beneficial for environmental protection. He added that the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign is highly important in preserving the environment and maintaining greenery.
As part of the campaign, PIB Bhopal’s Media and Communication Officer Prem Chandra Gupta, Administrative Officer Ramesh Chandra Samal, Chandrashekhar Yadav, Kajal Goel, Ankita Patel, and Bhawar Lal Jhanjharia also participated in the tree planting. Ashok Kumar Sharma, the Public Relations Officer of the Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind, also planted trees. It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign on World Environment Day 2024, calling upon every citizen to participate in this initiative for environmental protection.
