CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At Shri Satya Sai Women’s College, Bhopal, a district-level Pittu competition was organized under the MP Khelo Yuva Programme. Students from five schools of Bhopal district—Maharani Laxmibai Girls School, CM Rise Model Higher Secondary School, Vindhyachal Academy, Easy Convent Higher Secondary School, and Girls School Jahangirabad, Bhopal—participated enthusiastically. In this district-level Pittu competition, eight girls’ teams and five boys’ teams took part.

The Chief Guest of the programme was Manoj Kolait, In-Charge of the MP Khelo District-Level Competition, Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, and Dr. Anand Prasad Sharma, Technical Officer, All India Pittu Association.

The Principal of the College, Dr. Archana Shrivastava, welcomed the student players from various schools through her welcome address and extended her best wishes for their success.

In his keynote address, Dr. Anand Prasad Sharma encouraged the sportsmanship of budding players and said that winning is not the most important thing in sports; playing is what truly matters. Beyond victory and defeat, a good performance reflects the true identity of a player.

The Director of the College, Dr. Pratibha Singh, in her address, congratulated the players and inspired them to bring pride to the nation through their sporting achievements.

The College Sports Officer, Dr. Sarita Kushwaha, delivered the vote of thanks.
