CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A plantation drive has been initiated at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre (BMHRC) as part of the ongoing “Swachhata Hi Seva” fortnight. Under this campaign, Acting Director Manisha Srivastava and other officials planted medicinal plants within the hospital premises. In addition to this, plantation activities were carried out at all health centers. During the cleanliness fortnight, which will run until October 2, all BMHRC employees have set a target to plant a total of 1001 saplings. A cleanliness campaign will also be conducted throughout the institution during this period.

Dr. Manisha Srivastava mentioned that various cleanliness initiatives are being undertaken across the hospital campus during the fortnight. On September 19, the nursing students of BMHRC will perform a street play. A workshop will be held on September 20 to raise awareness about biomedical waste. A health check-up camp will be organized for housekeeping staff. The nursing and paramedical colleges will visit nearby schools to educate students about the importance of cleanliness. On October 2, sanitation workers will be honored for their contributions.
