CNN Central News and Network–ITDC India EPress/ITDC News Bhopal: On World Environment Day, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani planted saplings along with prominent citizens and workers under the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0" campaign at Namo Van, located on Bhadbhada Road in the South-West Assembly constituency.
Last year as well, the MLA had carried out plantation at Namo Van on Bhadbhada Road under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.
Under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0 campaign, a large-scale tree plantation drive will be undertaken this year too. BJP workers and prominent citizens of the area were present during the plantation programme.
On the occasion, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani appealed to all city residents to plant as many saplings as possible during the monsoon season. He said, "Tree plantation is not limited to merely planting trees, but it is also our moral responsibility to properly care for the saplings we plant and keep them safe until they grow."
Mandal president Hemant Badhia, Pankaj Tripathi, Ashutosh Tiwari, Pankaj Tripathi, Rajendra Rathore, Munna Puri, Arjun Yadav, Sudha Singh, Sushma Mishra, Pradeep Trivedi, Hari Malviya and Ashish Sigore, along with prominent citizens of the area, were present on the occasion.
