CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Minister Gautam Tetwal Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Plumbing Lab and Girls’ Common Room at Government Divisional ITI Bhopal

Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment (Independent Charge), Gautam Tetwal, inaugurated a state-of-the-art plumbing lab and a girls’ common room at the Government Divisional ITI in Bhopal. The lab has been established by the Jaquar Foundation under the “Daksh Initiative” and is designed to provide industry-ready training to students.

The facility will not only offer training in traditional plumbing but will also expose students to modern techniques like water management, smart fittings, sanitary technology, and customer service. Built at a cost of approximately ₹20 lakhs, this lab will benefit not just plumbing students, but also those in trades such as fitter, turner, and machinist.

During the inauguration, Minister Tetwal stated that the initiative would act as a bridge between quality training and industry demands. He described the lab as a “workshop of self-reliance” for the youth. The minister also held a warm interaction with differently-abled female students and encouraged all girls to become empowered and progress, calling them the strength of society.

Director Tetwal assured the students that all their needs in the institute would be taken care of and even shared his personal mobile number to stay directly in touch with them. The girls were visibly pleased and took photographs with the minister.
