CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, the transfer of the 20th installment was carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. As part of this installment, over 9.7 crore farmers received a total of ₹20,500 crore directly into their bank accounts as part of the government’s support to India’s food providers.

The main national-level event was held in Varanasi, where the Prime Minister personally transferred the funds to the accounts of the honored Annadata (food providers).

In Madhya Pradesh, a state-level program was organized at the Karond Mandi premises in the capital city, Bhopal. The event was graced by the Agriculture Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Aidal Singh Kansana, as the chief guest. Also present were Agriculture Secretary Nishant Warwade, Agriculture Director Ajay Gupta, Mandi Board Commissioner Kumar Purushottam, Joint Director and Additional Collector Ritu Chauhan, farmer leader Ravish Chauhan, Grain Merchant Association President Harish Gyanchandani, Ashok Meena, and Jagdish Yadav.

The live broadcast of the Varanasi event was viewed by lakhs of farmers across all 259 mandis of Madhya Pradesh. A large number of farmers, mandi traders, porters, helpers, and public representatives were in attendance at the Bhopal event.
