CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a two-day ‘Chintan Baithak’ with Union Cabinet ministers in New Delhi on September 23 and 24. The meeting will focus on governance, policymaking and reforms, according to reports citing government sources.
All Union Cabinet ministers have been asked to remain in the national capital next week to prepare for and attend the session. It is not yet clear whether Ministers of State will also participate.
During the meeting, some ministers are expected to make presentations on policies and measures undertaken by their respective ministries to advance reforms. Discussions are likely to cover the progress of government schemes, policy implementation, public service delivery, time management and coordination between ministries.
The session is also expected to focus on improving the policymaking process and setting priorities for the coming months. Officials said the discussions could include ways to make governance more effective and ensure that government services and schemes reach people more efficiently.
The meeting comes amid reports of speculation over a possible Union Council of Ministers reshuffle. However, there has been no official confirmation that any reshuffle will follow the two-day session.
