CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Kautilya Bhawan’ at AIIMS Bhopal and virtually launched drone services on the occasion of the 9th National Ayurveda Day. Central ministers J.P. Nadda, Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of State Pratap Rao Jadhav, Anupriya Patel, Shobha Karandlaje, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended virtually, while State Minister (Independent Charge) Krishna Gour and Bhopal MP Alok Sharma were present at AIIMS Bhopal.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi stated that Ayurveda Day is celebrated in over 150 countries today. He remarked, “New India is contributing to global health by integrating its rich traditions and ancient heritage with modern medicine. In the past ten years, we have started a new chapter in the integration of Ayurveda and modern medicine. Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, over 4 crore people have benefited, and on the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti, this scheme is now being extended to those aged 70 and above in the form of the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card.”

State Minister Krishna Gour of Madhya Pradesh expressed hope for further progress in health services with the inauguration of Kautilya Bhawan, stating, “This new facility will provide better health services to students and patients at AIIMS Bhopal. We will continue to work with dedication and commitment to improve health services.”

Bhopal MP Alok Sharma expressed his happiness over the administrative building and the launch of drone services, stating, “Kautilya Bhawan will enhance our administrative capabilities, and the initiation of drone services will enable the quick supply of essential medicines and blood to remote areas like Goharganj in Raisen district. This will empower health services in rural areas.”

AIIMS Bhopal Chairman Sunil Malik praised the unique progress in health services over the past ten years, noting that the Ayushman Bharat scheme is the world’s largest health security program, providing essential health services to millions of Indian citizens.

Executive Director Ajay Singh of AIIMS Bhopal described the inauguration of Kautilya Bhawan and the launch of drone services as significant for the institution. He said, “Kautilya Bhawan will promote our infrastructural development, and through drone services, our reach to remote areas will be strengthened.” The “Kautilya Bhawan” is a modern six-story building (Ground + 5) spanning 11,900 square meters with a project cost of ₹64.44 crores. It reflects our commitment and innovation in health care.

The inauguration of Kautilya Bhawan and the launch of drone services signify AIIMS Bhopal’s dedication to realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of a healthy and accessible India.
