Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today, September 24, interact through video conference with Seva Yatra participants taking part in the motorcycle journey being held under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. The yatra began on September 17 and is being conducted in different groups from Vadnagar to Varanasi and from Varanasi to Vadnagar.
Young participants in the yatra are passing through districts, towns and villages in several states while taking part in service activities. During the journey, activities such as cleanliness drives, public outreach in schools and hospitals, meetings with needy people, plantation drives and interaction with local communities are being carried out. The objective is to take service, youth participation and social outreach to the local level.
A programme for participants of the Seva Sankalp bike yatra is also being organised on Thursday at Punjapura in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will be present there with the motorcycle riders. According to the Madhya Pradesh Public Relations Department, 500 Seva Yatris on 250 motorcycles are part of the yatra travelling from Varanasi to Vadnagar. During the journey, participants are interacting with local people and taking part in service activities. At different places, activities such as cleaning schools, interacting with children, distributing books and educational material, visiting hospitals and old-age homes and planting saplings are being organised.
Today’s interaction with the Prime Minister is an important milestone in this yatra. The Seva Yatris will share with the Prime Minister the work carried out during the journey and their experiences at the local level. The campaign is being organised to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life and is scheduled to continue until October 7.
