CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held a virtual dialogue with people across the country through the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha, with the aim of giving new energy, a new direction and a broader form of public participation to the resolve for a developed India.

As part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan organised to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Modi’s public life, Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabhas and Seva Jyoti Yatras were held across the country. In Madhya Pradesh too, various programmes were organised to take the resolve of Viksit Bharat to every citizen.

Under the leadership of Cooperation, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister and state in-charge of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha (Seva Jyoti Yatra) Vishvas Kailash Sarang, programmes were organised on a large scale in all Assembly constituencies of the state.

The main programme of Bhopal district was held at Ravindra Bhavan. Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda, Minister and MP Alok Sharma, MLAs Rameshwar Sharma and Bhagwandas Sabnani, Mayor Malti Rai, along with public representatives, office-bearers, workers and a large number of citizens from the district, attended the event. All of them listened to Prime Minister Modi’s address through the virtual medium.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Sarang said the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Modi’s public life is an opportunity for the country to further strengthen the spirit of service, dedication and nation-building. Through the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, efforts are being made to make every section of society a participant in building a developed India.

He said Viksit Bharat is not merely a government target but will be the result of the resolve, participation and collective effort of every citizen of the country. The Seva Jyoti Yatra is a symbol of this sentiment, through which the message of service, dedication and nation-building is being taken to the last person in society.

Minister Sarang said the Seva Jyoti Yatra reached district centres from every booth in the state. He said that in all Assembly constituencies of Madhya Pradesh, workers interacted with the public at every booth and proceeded towards district centres in the form of the Seva Jyoti Yatra. Through the yatra, workers and citizens took a pledge to take the resolve of service to every person and play an active role in building a developed India.

He said Seva Jyoti Yatras started from various booths in all Assembly constituencies of Bhopal district. Citizens from different sections of society participated in these yatras along with workers. After passing through different areas, the Seva Jyoti Yatras reached the main programme venue at Ravindra Bhavan, where all the yatras converged.

After the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha held at Ravindra Bhavan and Prime Minister Modi’s virtual dialogue, the next phase of the Seva Jyoti Yatra began in Bhopal district. From the main programme venue, a torch procession was taken out as the Seva Jyoti Yatra for various Assembly constituencies. Through the torch procession, a pledge was taken to carry the message of service, good governance, public participation and the resolve of Viksit Bharat to every Assembly constituency and booth. Workers and citizens participated enthusiastically.

Minister Sarang said enthusiasm for the Seva Jyoti Yatra was visible among different sections of society. Youth, women, senior citizens, social workers, public representatives and ordinary citizens participated in the campaign and gave it the form of a mass movement.

He said the spirit of service is an integral part of Indian culture and life values. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the country is moving forward while giving priority not only to development but also to service and public welfare. The participation of every citizen is essential to realise the resolve of Viksit Bharat.

Minister Sarang said the Seva Jyoti Yatra is a symbol of collective commitment to the resolve of a developed India. Its objective is to take the message of service and Viksit Bharat to every booth, every Assembly constituency and every section of society. He said that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India is moving ahead with confidence towards becoming a developed nation. Through such campaigns, efforts are being made to connect citizens with the journey of development and strengthen the resolve of service.
