CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has taken a historic step to connect the picturesque tourist destinations of Madhya Pradesh through air services. Prime Minister Shri Aviation Tourism Service is set to commence operations from Thursday to connect the 8 cities of the state – Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain, Gwalior, Singrauli, and Khajuraho – with two 6-seater aircraft. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will flag off the Prime Minister Shri Aviation Tourism Service aircraft at Bhopal Airport on June 13. The inaugural flight will cover Bhopal-Jabalpur-Rewa-Singrauli. Notably, on March 14, 2024, Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Prime Minister Shri Tourism Air Service from Bhopal State Hangar. An online ticket booking facility has been developed through the Flyola website, launched by the Chief Minister at the Ministry on Tuesday.
Secretary Tourism and Culture and Managing Director of the Tourism Board, Mr. Shiv Shekhar Shukla, explained that under the guidance of Honorable Chief Minister, continuous innovations are being made to enhance connectivity between the tourist destinations of the state and expand tourism facilities. The Prime Minister Shri Tourism Air Service will prove to be a milestone for the tourism sector of the state. It will not only benefit the tourism sector but also be advantageous for industries, commerce, health, education, and the promotion of culture and art.
Providing information about the booking facility, Secretary Shukla stated that booking counters have been set up at the airports of Indore, Bhopal, and Jabalpur for booking air services. Currently, air services are being connected to 8 cities of the state, which will be extended to more cities in the near future.
Commencing from Gwalior on June 15
The air service is being connected to the major cities of the state. In the dignified presence of the Chief Minister, the air journey will commence from Gwalior on June 15 and then from Ujjain on June 16. Interested tourists can obtain offers, schedules, and rental information on www.flyola.in.
