CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the first anniversary of the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Scheme, a divisional-level event was organized at the Government Regional Industrial Training Institute in Bhopal. Trainees from CRISP who had received training under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana also participated in the event. The Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually addressed all beneficiaries of the scheme during an event held in Wardha, Maharashtra. Public representatives and all beneficiaries were present at the event.

CRISP trainees from Bhopal also joined the program virtually. State Minister (Independent Charge, Technical Education, Skill Development, and Employment) Gautam Tetwal was present as the chief guest. M.G. Tiwari, Additional Director of the Skill Development Directorate, Madhya Pradesh Government, was also in attendance. Minister Gautam Tetwal distributed certificates to the artisans trained by CRISP, honoring them for their excellent performance. He congratulated them for their success in skill development and said, “The objective of the PM Vishwakarma Yojana is not only to strengthen traditional artisans economically but also to improve their skills by connecting them with modern technology.”

During the program, Ms. Iram Naz, Head of the Handicraft Department, shared her thoughts, stating, “CRISP’s training programs have equipped our artisans with modern skills. This not only increases their productivity but also strengthens their position in global competition.”

Appreciating CRISP’s efforts under the ‘PM Vishwakarma’ initiative, Minister Tetwal said, “The government is committed to revitalizing the traditional skills of artisans, and CRISP is working in this direction.”

Carpenter artisans currently undergoing training shared their experiences, explaining how this scheme and CRISP’s training programs have brought positive changes in their lives.

Under the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, traditional artisans and craftsmen are being empowered with modern tools and training, enabling them not only to improve their livelihoods but also to gain new recognition in the global market. CRISP’s efforts are playing a crucial role in realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of an ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India).
