CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Health Department of Bhopal organized an orientation program for the “Social Awareness Action to Neutralize Pneumonia Successfully” (SAANS) campaign at Chirayu Medical College. The program aims to educate various stakeholders about the campaign to reduce child mortality.
During the orientation, subject experts will provide detailed information to doctors and field health workers on the early identification, management, and treatment of pneumonia symptoms.
Participants in the orientation include pediatricians and physicians from the Health Department, AIIMS Bhopal, Gandhi Medical College, People’s Medical College, Chirayu Medical College, LN Medical College, RKDF, and Mahavir Medical College.
Chief Medical and Health Officer of Bhopal, Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, stated that the SAANS campaign is being actively conducted. Running until February 28, the campaign focuses on promoting pneumonia prevention, safety measures, and awareness. Efforts are also being made to dispel misconceptions and superstitions related to pneumonia. As part of the campaign, field health workers are conducting door-to-door health check-ups for children under five years of age.
