A dispute is deepening over a fire that broke out in a godown in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. On the basis of a preliminary investigation, police have said the cause of the fire was a short circuit, while the affected family is not satisfied with this conclusion. The family tried to meet the District Magistrate over the matter, but alleged that they were stopped from meeting the DM.

The family says it suffered heavy losses due to the fire in the godown and that an impartial investigation should be conducted. They have questioned the police version that a short circuit caused the fire. The family wants to place its complaint and version before the administration so that the entire matter can be properly investigated.

Police, meanwhile, say a short circuit is suspected to be behind the godown fire. However, in view of the family’s objections and allegations, the need for an investigation in the matter remains.

The incident has created a dispute between the family and the administration. It now remains to be seen what steps the administration takes on the family’s complaint and what inquiry is conducted to confirm the actual cause of the fire.
