The police administration has taken action in the case of the murder of three members of the same family in the Saadatganj police station area of Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow. Police Commissioner Tarun Gaba has suspended the inspector of Saadatganj police station and the in-charge of the Kashmiri Mohalla police outpost amid allegations of negligence in duty.
There is anger in the area after the incident. Family members and local residents alleged that effective action was not taken in time on complaints related to a long-running dispute between the two families.

According to police, Shivaji Tiwari, his brother Shivendra alias Shambhu Tiwari and his son Suyash Tiwari died in the firing. All three had been taken to the KGMU Trauma Centre for treatment.
Police have taken accused Rishabh Shukla into custody in the case. According to initial information, the pistol allegedly used in the incident and cartridge shells were recovered from the accused. Further legal action and investigation in the case are under way.
