CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal : At Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University, a two-day workshop was inaugurated under the National Education Policy 2020 for the development of the Political Science curriculum. This workshop is being conducted for the development of second- and third-year undergraduate courses as well as third- and fourth-semester postgraduate courses.

In the inaugural session, subject expert and chair Sushma Yadav, former Pro-Vice Chancellor, Central University of Haryana, and distinguished guest Prof. Uttam Singh Chauhan, Joint Director, Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Academy, were present. The session was chaired by Sushma Yadav, who emphasized that Indian philosophy and knowledge traditions should be incorporated into the curriculum. She highlighted the importance of conveying holistic knowledge, integral humanism, and the timeless values of Indian culture to students.

The workshop includes 21 subject experts, who will submit their recommendations on the Political Science curriculum to the Central Study Board of the Higher Education Department. Prof. Uttam Singh Chauhan shared his views on Indian political thought, Charvaka philosophy, and metaphysics, stressing that authenticity and practicality are essential in the curriculum.

Prof. L.P. Jharia, the workshop coordinator, presented the program framework and emphasized a balanced inclusion of Indian and Western thinkers. Event secretary Sushil Manderia highlighted the global contributions of Indian knowledge traditions. The program was conducted by Ratan Suryavanshi, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Harshvardhan Singh Tomar.
It is expected that the new Political Science curriculum will provide students with holistic, relevant, and skill-based education, enabling them to play an empowered role in society and nation-building.
