Farmers growing sugarcane are facing transport-related difficulties these days. The condition of routes used to move sugarcane produced across around 35,000 hectares out of the fields is poor. Because of this, farmers are facing difficulties in transporting the crop.

Movement of vehicles loaded with sugarcane may be affected because of poor roads and link routes. This has raised fears of additional time and expense in moving sugarcane from the fields to the designated places. The issue is significant for farmers because timely transport is necessary after sugarcane harvesting.

Farmers are concerned that if the condition of the routes does not improve, the problem of sugarcane transport may increase further. In such a situation, the concerned departments need to repair link roads and ensure smooth movement so that sugarcane producers can get relief.
