CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A district-level program on “Positive Masculinity” was organized by the Women and Child Development Department under the awareness campaign “Hum Honge Kamyab Fortnight” to prevent gender-based violence. The event took place at the auditorium of Career College.

Role of Police in Preventing Gender-Based Violence:

Vinay Kapoor, Assistant Inspector General of Police (Bhopal), led an in-depth discussion on how police, with the support of society, can work to prevent gender-based violence.

Engagement on Positive Masculinity:

Argha Tiwari, Project Manager of Udayan Care (Bhopal), discussed the topic of positive masculinity with active participation from the attendees. A short film was also showcased to evoke sensitivity on the subject.

Role of Teachers in Addressing the Issue:

Prashant Dubey, Director of Awaaz Foundation, elaborated on the crucial role teachers can play in promoting awareness and addressing gender-based violence.

Street Play on Women Empowerment:

Students of Career College, led by Pratibha and her team, performed a street play highlighting the fight against violence towards women.

Panel Discussion and Other Contributions

A panel discussion featured Archana Sahay (Director, Aarambh), Amarjeet Kumar Singh (State Advisor, UNICEF), Prashant Dubey, and Argha Tiwari. They shared insights and engaged with the audience through a Q&A session.
