As a result, most of us experience some form of deprivation in life—whether it is financial, mental, or social. The outcome is that we neither fully enjoy the resources available to us nor are able to enhance them adequately.
Often, instead of improving our circumstances, people complain about them, and this tendency reduces the happiness in life.
To fully enjoy human life, it is essential that we remain positive in every situation and continue to make consistent efforts toward it. Positivity is as vital for our life as oxygen is for our body. Through it, we can keep our body, mind, and wealth healthy and balanced.
This can be illustrated with an interesting example—a tiny newborn mosquito, after its first cultural excursion, told its father, “Papa, the world is so wonderful. Everywhere I went, people welcomed me with applause.” While this perspective may seem naive, it teaches us that the way we view circumstances determines our experience. This is what positive thinking is all about.
However, remaining positive requires not just thought but also mental strength. For this, we should continuously draw energy from the words of great personalities, literature, and inspiring songs.
For example, the lines of a popular devotional song:
“Give us such strength, O Creator, that the faith of our mind may never weaken…”
These words assure us that with the right perspective and strong belief, we can face any difficulty.
