CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In what comes as a huge relief to Bhavani Revanna, mother of suspended JD(S) leader and former Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna who is accused of sexually abusing several women and recording the abuse, Karnataka High Court, on Tuesday, granted anticipatory bail to her in connection with a kidnapping case. The HC had earlier granted interim anticipatory bail to her subject to various conditions.
Bhavani Revanna is allegedly involved in the kidnapping of a woman to stop her from filing a case of sexual assault against Prajwal Revanna.
Pronouncing the order to grant anticipatory bail to her, Justice Krishna S. Dixit said women should not be arrested unnecessarily in criminal cases. The court further observed that it was not convinced by the claim by the state that she was not cooperating with the investigation, reported Bar and Bench.
