CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Sports Festival Pratispardha 2026, organized at UIT-RGPV, Bhopal, was inaugurated at the UIT Cricket Ground by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, S. C. Chaube, and the Director of UIT, Sudhir Singh Bhadauria. The Inauguration ceremony was held in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and excitement.
On this occasion, Sports In-charge Vijay Kumar Gupta, Sports Coordinator Sunil Dohare, faculty members in charge of various sports, coordinators, all student coordinators, and a large number of students were present. The distinguished guests interacted with the participants, formally inaugurated the event, and encouraged students to actively participate in sports activities.
Under this sports festival organized on the institute campus, competitions are being held in various games including cricket, kabaddi, kho-kho, football, basketball, table tennis, carrom, chess, and tug of war. Enthusiastic participation from students is being witnessed across all events.
Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor S. C. Chaube and UIT-RGPV Director Sudhir Singh Bhadauria stated that sports activities are essential for the holistic development of students. Through sports, qualities such as team spirit, discipline, leadership skills, and competitive thinking are developed, which are crucial for success in every sphere of life.
