CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Babulal Gaur Government Post Graduate College, BHEL Bhopal, initiated the distribution of approximately fifteen bags of vermi compost fertilizer prepared within the college premises under the Environmental Conservation Fortnight. Sheela Kumar, in charge of the botanical garden at the college, explained that as part of the past year’s best practices, this compost was prepared by digging a pit in the college campus and adding leaves, earthworms, and cow dung, among other materials.
This compost is now being distributed free of cost to the college family, including students and staff, until available. Principal Sanjay Jain described the Department of Botany’s initiative as an innovative employment-oriented initiative. Students can build their careers alongside their studies through such creative activities.
Present at the event were Department Head Botany Anuradha Dubey, IQAC Coordinator Kirti Srivastava, Administrative Officer Anjana Agrawal, Media Coordinator Meeta Badal, Shalini Tiwari, and Nirmala Shukla, who distributed the vermi compost fertilizer to all present students, teachers, and staff.
