CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The stories of many candidates who succeed in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination become examples of hard work and self-study with limited resources. Among such success stories is that of Prerna Pranay, who cleared the BPSC examination without coaching, secured the post of SDM and achieved the 288th rank.

Candidates preparing for competitive examinations such as the BPSC generally rely on coaching institutes and test series, but Prerna depended mainly on self-study for her preparation. Gathering the right study material, understanding the syllabus and practising regularly were important parts of her preparation.

Such stories of success without coaching inspire young people who, for financial or other reasons, cannot afford expensive coaching. However, simply staying away from coaching does not guarantee success. In an examination such as the BPSC, consistent study, the right strategy, practice with previous years’ question papers and periodic assessment of one’s preparation are extremely important.

Prerna Pranay’s achievement sends the message that even with limited resources, better performance in competitive examinations is possible through discipline and sustained hard work.
