CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On this occasion, world-renowned physicist Prof. Ashoke Sen from the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bengaluru, will deliver a lecture. The topic of the lecture will be “The Search for a Unified Theory.”
Prof. Ashoke Sen is one of the world’s leading and most celebrated theoretical physicists. His contributions to the fields of string theory and quantum gravity have received special recognition at the international level. He has been honoured with several prestigious national and international awards, including the Padma Bhushan, the Dirac Medal, and the Fundamental Physics Prize.
In this lecture, Prof. Ashoke Sen will shed light on scientific efforts to understand the fundamental laws of the universe in a unified framework. He will discuss key questions related to elementary particles, string theory, quantum gravity, black holes, and modern theoretical physics—questions for which scientists are still seeking answers.
This popular science lecture will be held in the auditorium of the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal. The programme is open to all, entry is free, and prior registration is mandatory for participation.
