Prof. (Dr.) Bhuban Chandra Mahapatra has been appointed as a member of the prestigious Research and Innovation Committee of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP). His term will run from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026. Representing India, Prof. Mahapatra will work to promote a culture of quality, innovation, and research in higher education.
His primary responsibility is to preserve and promote the cultural diversity and values of the Asia-Pacific region. AUAP serves as a significant global platform for dialogue, cooperation, and the advancement of higher education. During his two-year tenure, Prof. Mahapatra aims to collaborate with over 7,223 universities worldwide, contributing to research and innovation practices.
Currently, Prof. Mahapatra serves as the Director of Research at the Central University of Rajasthan. He earned India’s first UNESCO-accredited Ph.D. in Instructional Technology in 1993 from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. Prof. Mahapatra’s academic achievements include the publication of 37 books and 109 research papers, which have been published in national and international journals. Under his guidance, 32 scholars have completed their Ph.D. research.
