Prof. (Dr.) Bhuban Chandra Mahapatra has been appointed as a member of the prestigious Research and Innovation Committee of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP). His term will run from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026. Representing India, Prof. Mahapatra will be instrumental in promoting a culture of quality, innovation, and research in higher education.

His primary role involves preserving and enhancing the cultural diversity and values of the Asia-Pacific region. AUAP serves as an essential global platform for dialogue, cooperation, and the advancement of higher education. During his two-year tenure, Prof. Mahapatra aims to engage with over 7,223 universities globally to enhance research and innovation practices.

Currently, Prof. Mahapatra serves as the Director of Research at the Central University of Rajasthan. He earned India’s first UNESCO-accredited Ph.D. in Instructional Technology in 1993 from Devi Ahilya University, Indore. His academic achievements include the publication of 37 books and 109 research papers in reputed national and international journals. Additionally, 32 scholars have completed their Ph.D. research under his supervision.

The announcement was delayed due to unavoidable circumstances.
