CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Renowned academician Prof. Dr. Bhuban Chandra Mahapatra has been appointed as the Director of ODL and Research at the Central University of Rajasthan, Government of India. With an extensive academic background, Dr. Mahapatra has made significant contributions in the field of Instructional Technology and Multimedia Education.
Holding a Ph.D. in Education (Instructional Technology) from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore, his research was supported by UNESCO, Paris, making him one of India’s pioneers in Multimedia Education. His illustrious career includes previous roles such as Assistant Professor at MPBOU, selection as Director at IGNOU, and an appointment as Adjoint Professor/Director of Research at MCU, Bhopal under UGC norms.
In 2018, he was honored by the President of India for his outstanding contributions to Instructional Technology. His academic journey also includes a Diploma in Multimedia Education (2000), a Master’s in Education and Psychology, and significant administrative experience in higher education.
Dr. Mahapatra’s new role at the Central University of Rajasthan is expected to bring valuable advancements in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and research initiatives.
