Prof. Ravi Prakash Dubey assumed the role of Vice-Chancellor at Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU). On his arrival, he received a grand welcome from the university community. On the occasion, the Chancellor Santosh Choubey, Pro-Chancellor Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, IQAC Director Nitin Vats, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Sanjeev Gupta, Registrar Sangeeta Johri, along with other senior officials, faculty members, and students, greeted him with floral bouquets.
Chancellor Santosh Choubey said that Prof. Ravi Prakash Dubey is a proficient academician and an effective administrator. Under his leadership, the university will achieve new milestones in education, research, and innovation. His extensive experience and academic vision will help the university reach new heights of excellence. Academic and Administrative Experience of Prof. Ravi Prakash Dubey
Prof. Ravi Prakash Dubey is a distinguished personality in the field of higher education and academic administration. Under his leadership, Dr. C.V. Raman University, Chhattisgarh, achieved several remarkable milestones over the past 16 years. He began his career there as a Professor in the Department of Mathematics in 2009 and was soon appointed as the Head of the Engineering Department due to his academic brilliance and administrative capabilities. In 2013, he became the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and in 2016, he was appointed as Vice-Chancellor by the Honorable Governor of Chhattisgarh. He was reappointed for a second term which lasted from 2021 to 2024. During his tenure, the university made unprecedented progress in teaching, research, and innovation. Under his leadership, the university was awarded an ‘A’ grade by NAAC, a testament to its academic quality.
Key Achievements in Education and Innovation
Under Prof. Dubey’s leadership, the university achieved many milestones across various domains such as engineering, management, science, pharmacy, and sports. Some notable initiatives include the establishment of a state-of-the-art incubation center, Chhattisgarhi Research and Creation Chair, Indian Knowledge Tradition Center, Chhattisgarhi Archive and Folk Art Center, and the operation of a Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Kendra (PM Skill Development Center). Several national and international research centers and recognized institutions were also initiated during his tenure. These efforts significantly contributed to gaining global recognition for the university.
