CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: At the first National Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Conference (NEMICON 2024) held at KGMU Lucknow, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal and Gorakhpur, Ajay Singh, presented the latest concept of “One State, One Health, One Emergency.” This initiative emphasizes an integrated approach to emergency care across the state, aiming to improve patient outcomes and streamline healthcare services.
“In emergency situations, a coordinated response is crucial. Our ‘One State, One Health, One Emergency’ principle aims to create a seamless healthcare experience for patients, ensuring timely and effective care for all,” said Professor Ajay Singh.
Elaborating on the initiative, he said, “Every second counts in emergencies. This policy aims to streamline emergency responses across the state by bridging the gaps between various healthcare facilities. By fostering collaboration between hospitals, emergency services, and community health organizations, we can ensure that patients receive the right care at the right time, no matter where they are.” Professor Singh also stressed the importance of integrating resources and information systems. “Under this initiative, technology is used to build a health network. A centralized data system allows emergency responders to quickly access real-time information on patient history, available resources, and ongoing situations, which is crucial for making immediate decisions.”
Discussing the potential for improved outcomes, he said, “By establishing an integrated emergency response framework, we not only enhance the efficiency of our healthcare system but also increase the chances of saving lives. This will help us respond more effectively to natural disasters, pandemics, and other critical events.”
The conference theme, “From Crisis to Care: Trends and Transformations,” focused on the current challenges and future prospects in emergency medicine and critical care. NEMICON 2024 highlighted the pivotal role of emergency medicine in today’s healthcare landscape, with a focus on integrating the latest technologies and innovative practices in emergency care
