CNN Central News and Network–ITDC India ePress/ITDC News Bhopal: 'Project Ganga' (Government Assisted Network for Growth and Advancement) was formally launched in Lucknow with the aim of giving new direction and momentum to digital entrepreneurship in Uttar Pradesh. The ambitious initiative is being seen as an important step towards empowering the state's youth, startups, innovators and digital entrepreneurs. During the programme, it was stated that Project Ganga aims to promote job creation, entrepreneurship development and economic progress through digital technologies.

The initiative is expected to provide a strong foundation to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision of 'Digital India', 'Viksit Bharat' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'. Through it, the digital ecosystem in the state will be strengthened and youth will be provided opportunities in modern technical skills, innovation and entrepreneurship. Efforts will also be made to reduce the digital gap between rural and urban areas.

The UP Transformation Commission, the Department of Information Technology and Electronics, and the Hinduja Group will play important roles in implementing the project. The government is confident that the initiative will help establish Uttar Pradesh among the country's leading states in digital innovation and entrepreneurship. Residents of the state welcomed the initiative and described it as a means of creating new opportunities for development and employment.
