CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress / Bhopal: State Blood Transfusion Council Madhya Pradesh organized a two-day training and review meeting at Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Center, Bhopal. Online National Drugs Licensing System (ONDLS) portal and e-Raktkosh portal have been created by the Government of India for the application of licenses developed for government and private blood centers, under which about 206 participants from the state participated in BMHRC.

On this occasion, Managing Director of National Health Mission (MP) Sushri Priyanka Das while addressing the auditorium said that Madhya Pradesh has always been at the forefront in adopting technology and innovation. Blood banks should work keeping in mind what is the attitude of the government towards blood banks. The type of functioning of the blood bank is important. Since blood cannot be manufactured, blood Collection should be done in such a way that people get blood of their blood group at the right time. Blood donation is done in emergency, but in view of anemia, thalassemia, haemoglobinopathy and sickle cell, it is necessary to use the blood collected by the blood donation camp regularly for the needy in the right direction.

BMHRC in-charge director Manisha Srivastava said that till some time ago, people were aware of the blood transfusion medicine field. There was no information but now blood banks are getting better facilities due to becoming very modern. Since joining a training program of the Blood Transfusion Department in the year 2006, 3000 people have been trained so far. Earlier, where there was a lot of paperwork for the license, now it has become easier with the facility of online application. Blood transfusion is a social practice and an interesting field through which public service can be done.

Deputy Drugs Controller, Mr. Gaurav Kumar from Central Drugs Standard Control Organization, Indore said that this training camp has been organized only to solve the curiosity and problem of all the people for online license renewal.

Mr. Shobhit Kosta, Deputy Drugs Controller, Food and Drug Administration, Madhya Pradesh said that the problems faced in online training in this field can be solved by upgrading through technical software.  Dr. Ruby Khan, Deputy Director, SBTC expressed her gratitude to Ms. Priyanka Das, Managing Director, National Health Mission (MP) and said that blood bank has an important contribution in the medical field because there are only two main points behind not being able to save life during treatment – not being diagnosed or not getting blood, so it is necessary that the blood bank works in the forefront and registration of sickle cell and thylassemia patients must be ensured So that patients can get treatment and facilities.
