Proposed SCR headquarters to be built in 10-storey modern complex

CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: A plan has been prepared for the construction of the proposed headquarters of the State Capital Region (SCR). Under the plan, a 10-storey modern complex will be built on about eight acres of land. The project is estimated to cost around Rs 600 crore and has been targeted for completion in two and a half years.

The proposed complex will provide arrangements for the functioning of various offices and administrative units linked to the State Capital Region. With the offices of related departments located on one campus, it is expected to help improve administrative coordination and streamline work.

The 10-storey building, to be constructed over an area of about eight acres, will be equipped with modern facilities. The estimated cost of the project has been fixed at Rs 600 crore. If construction work is completed according to the prescribed timeline, the headquarters could be ready in two and a half years.

Under the concept of the State Capital Region, emphasis is being placed on planned development of the capital and surrounding areas, expansion of infrastructure and better coordination of various administrative activities. In this context, its headquarters will play an important role. However, the full outline of the project will become clear only after detailed information related to the start of construction, design, facilities and implementation comes out.
