CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The final match of the Inter-Division Men’s Hockey Tournament 2024-25, organized by the West Central Railway Sports Association at the Railway Stadium, was played under the chief guestship of West Central Railway General Manager Shobhana Bandopadhyay. In the final, Bhopal Division defeated Jabalpur Division 4-0 to become the winner, while Jabalpur Division secured the runner-up position.
Bhopal Division played an aggressive game, scoring one goal in each quarter, totaling four goals. Taj scored two goals, while Mayank James and Sadiq scored one goal each.
Jabalpur Division’s captain and senior hockey player Kushal Singh not only participated as a player but also played a key role in organizing the tournament successfully.
On this occasion, General Manager Shobhana Bandopadhyay honored international hockey players Suresh Mehta and Arun Kumar Yadav.
Another match in the tournament was played between Kota Division and Jabalpur Division, where Jabalpur Division won 6-3. Mohit scored three goals for Jabalpur, while Manoj Mahawar, Hasan Ali, and Ritesh scored one goal each. For Kota Division, Sanjay Chauhan, Siraj, and Chandrapal scored one goal each. This victory helped Jabalpur Division secure a place in the final.
Special guests at the matches included Additional General Manager Nitin Chaudhary, Senior Deputy General Manager Neeraj Kumar, Principal Chief Operations Manager Gurinder Mohan Singh, Principal Chief Commercial Manager Kushal Singh, Principal Chief Personnel Officer Prabhat, Jabalpur Divisional Railway Manager Kamal Kumar Talreja, Secretary to the General Manager Rahul Jaipuriyar, Divisional Sports Officer Subodh Vishwakarma, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Madhur Verma, Senior Divisional Finance Manager Rajnikant Sahu, and other senior officials from the headquarters and divisions.
Match officials included Vijay Panchal, Shahid Beg, Owais Sher Khan, Ashraf Ali, Hasan Ali, Gajendra Mehrauliya, Ganesh Srivastava, Tabrez Sher Khan, and Arif Ali.
