Putin emphasized that India, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, has demonstrated resilience in dealing with international pressures and continues to make strategic decisions based on its own priorities. He asserted that sovereign nations must remain free to choose their economic, technological, and defense partnerships without external interference.
The Russian leader also reaffirmed the strength of India-Russia relations, noting that bilateral cooperation spans key sectors including energy, defense, technology, and trade. He expressed confidence that economic ties between the two countries would continue to expand despite changing geopolitical dynamics. Putin further stressed that India’s growing engagement with other global powers, including the United States, does not diminish its longstanding partnership with Russia.
