CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: We are pleased to share that ISRO, in collaboration with NASA, has launched a mission to the International Space Station (ISS) — Axiom Mission 4. This joint mission, commanded by Indian astronaut Group Captain Shubhangshu Shukla, is primarily focused on conducting cutting-edge scientific research aboard the ISS.

This mission not only symbolizes India’s re-entry into human spaceflight, but also represents a strategic step toward strengthening India’s capabilities in space science and preparing for future missions such as Gaganyaan.

We are also happy to inform you that the crew aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft has successfully docked with the ISS. Group Captain Shubhangshu Shukla and the rest of the Axiom Mission 4 crew are scheduled to return to Earth on July 10, 2025, exactly 14 days after docking.

To commemorate this historic moment, the Regional Science Centre, Bhopal, organized a special interactive program — a one-of-a-kind event — titled:

“Your Questions – Our Answers.”

Through this special event, participants connected via the auditorium and online platforms had the unique opportunity to ask questions related to the ISRO–NASA–Axiom Mission 4, the International Space Station, and Group Captain Shubhangshu Shukla.

Some of the questions asked during the program included:

How do astronauts control extreme temperatures in space?

What does food taste like in zero gravity?

How do missions like this contribute to Gaganyaan and the development of an Indian space station?

The program saw participation from nearly 300 attendees, reflecting a strong interest in India’s growing role in international space missions.
