The Department of Pharmacy at Barkatullah University, Bhopal, is organizing a three-day workshop on “The Importance of QSAR in Pharmaceutical Education” under the PM-UShA scheme, which will continue until March 12, 2025.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Vivek Sharma, Director, CRIM. The event’s chief guest, Prof. Neeraj Upmanyu, Pro-Vice Chancellor, SEZ University, Bhopal, and Member of the Central Pharmacy Council, New Delhi, highlighted the significance of QSAR and its crucial role in pharmaceutical research.

PM-UShA Scheme Coordinator, Vipin Vyas, discussed the importance of career-oriented programs under this initiative, encouraging students to make the most of such training opportunities.

On the first day of the workshop:

Dr. Pradeep Singour, Vice-Principal, VNS Pharmacy, Bhopal, conducted a training session.

Dr. Kamal Raj Pardasani, Director, MNIT, Bhopal, delivered a lecture on “Riboswitch-Based Drug Delivery.”

Dr. Ragini Gothalwal, Director, Department of Pharmacy, Barkatullah University, Bhopal, provided insights into QSAR’s advancements and applications in academic and professional fields.

The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Rachana Akhand Giri, Head of the Department, with the support of the entire faculty.

This workshop will continue for two more days, featuring renowned experts from across the country who will deliver lectures and practical training on QSAR (Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship) and its significance in pharmaceutical education.
