CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of AIIMS Bhopal’s Executive Director Ajay Singh, the Department of Pediatrics at AIIMS Bhopal is organizing various activities throughout September as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The goal of these activities is to raise awareness about childhood cancer and enhance the knowledge of healthcare professionals.
As part of this initiative, the Pediatric Hematology Oncology branch of the Pediatrics Department conducted a Pediatric Oncology Nursing Quiz for nursing officers using the Kahoot platform. Nursing officers and senior nursing officers from various departments participated in the quiz. Ajay Singh, Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, remarked that this quiz is an excellent example of how the institute is continuously advancing the knowledge and skills of its healthcare professionals. The participation of the nursing officers reflects their commitment to continuous learning and providing the best possible care to children battling cancer. He emphasized the crucial role of the nursing staff in pediatric cancer care and commended their dedicated service.
On this occasion, Professor Shikha Malik, Head of the Pediatrics Department, congratulated the winners and acknowledged the significant role of the nursing staff in caring for children. She stated, “The commitment of our nursing staff plays a vital role in the treatment and rehabilitation of children fighting cancer.”
In the quiz, Dilip Kumar (Nursing Officer) secured first place, Hitesh (Nursing Officer) took second place, and Vikram (Senior Nursing Officer) came third. All faculty members, resident doctors, nursing staff, and support staff from the Pediatrics Department were present at the event.
