Senior officials from various departments participated in the meeting.

Director Barnwal emphasized that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the goal of doubling farmers’ income is being pursued by promoting agricultural diversification and allied activities such as animal husbandry, dairy farming, and fisheries.

He instructed officials to visit farms and encourage farmers to adopt advanced technologies, pressurized irrigation systems, and grow biofortified wheat varieties like HI-1650 and HI-1636, as well as crops like Pusa Arhar-16.

During Kharif 2024, crops such as soybean, paddy, maize, and pigeon pea were sown on a large scale in the districts of Bhopal, Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen, and Rajgarh. A further increase in soybean and pigeon pea cultivation area is expected this year. He also emphasized the use of NPK fertilizers, discouraging stubble burning, and promoting technologies like Happy Seeder.

All related departments were instructed to coordinate closely and work at the grassroots level to achieve the desired outcomes.
