CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Students and faculty members of Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) and SCOPE Global Skills University proudly participated in the first edition of the Army Marathon 2025. The event saw the active participation of over 600 students, along with prominent figures such as Vijay Singh, Vice-Chancellor of SCOPE Global Skills University, and Sangeeta Johri, Registrar of RNTU. The university aimed to inspire patriotism and unity among youth while fostering respect for the armed forces through this event.

This historic marathon was organized in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and the Indian Army. The race began at Yoddha Sthal, Dronanchal, and passed through Lalghati Square, Koh-e-Fiza Square (VIP Road), Kamla Park, and Polytechnic Square before concluding at Yoddha Sthal. The event was divided into three categories: a 21 km run, a 10 km run, and a 5 km run, with around 6,000 runners participating.

Speaking about the initiative, SGSU Chancellor-Director Siddharth Chaturvedi said, “We continuously encourage our staff and students to adopt a healthier lifestyle, which helps them maintain work-life balance. This is especially important for students as they prepare to become part of prestigious institutions in the future. A healthy lifestyle not only improves their well-being but also enhances their productivity.”

Meanwhile, RNTU Chancellor-Director Aditi Chaturvedi Vats remarked, “The participation in Army Marathon 2025 provided students and faculty members with a unique opportunity to express gratitude for the bravery and dedication of the Indian Army.”
