CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) men’s badminton team has arrived in Vijayawada to participate in the All India Inter-University Badminton Tournament (Men’s Category). Led by coach Ashish Argal and team manager Sumit Kumar Singh, the team will put forth a strong challenge in the title contest. The tournament is being organized in Vijayawada.
It may be noted that recently the RNTU Bhopal men’s badminton team delivered an impressive performance in the West Zone Inter-University Badminton Tournament (Men’s Category), securing the position of Second Runner-Up. With this commendable performance, the RNTU team also qualified for the All India Inter-University Badminton Tournament.
The men’s team includes Mridul Bhiryani (BBA, 2nd Year), Agad Baveja (BBA, 2nd Year), Asmit Shrivastava (BBA, 2nd Year), Ashay Karde (BA, 3rd Year), Vinay Sharma (B.Com, 3rd Year), Yashpal Yadav (BPES, 3rd Year), and Ujjwal Goyal (BPES, 1st Year), all of whom are expected to present a strong claim in the competition.
Extending their best wishes to the players for their participation, University Pro-Chancellor Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ravi Prakash Dubey, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Registrar Dr. Sangeeta Johari, and District Sports Officer of Raisen district, Jalaj Chaturvedi, conveyed their encouragement and support.
