CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Two NCC cadets from the Naval Wing of Rabindranath Tagore University, Hiralal Kumar (Diploma in Mechanical Engineering) and Nilesh Sahu (B.E. in AEML), have been selected for the Republic Day Parade held in Delhi. Among the 1.5 lakh cadets from the Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Directorate, only 136 cadets were selected, including these two. Over the past five months, both cadets underwent rigorous training and a stringent selection process. Out of the 136 selected cadets, only 15 were from the Naval Wing, and both university cadets successfully secured their place among this elite group.
The university’s NCC officer, Sub Lieutenant Manoj Singh Manral, called this achievement of selecting two cadets from the university a significant milestone. He added that participating in the Republic Day camp not only brings about positive personality changes in the cadets but also fosters a deep sense of patriotism. On January 26, at Kartavya Path, Cadet Hiralal will salute the national flag in front of the country’s esteemed dignitaries and Indonesia’s President, Prabowo Subianto, the chief guest for this Republic Day. Meanwhile, PO Cadet Nilesh Sahu will participate in the PM Rally Parade.
During the camp, the cadets also have the opportunity to meet distinguished leaders, including the President, Prime Minister, Defense Minister, Delhi’s Chief Minister, Minister of State for Defense, Chief of Defense Staff, and the Chiefs of the three armed forces.
The Chancellor of the university, Santosh Choubey, Vice-Chancellor Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, SGSU Vice-Chancellor Vijay Singh, and RNTU Registrar Sangeeta Johri extended their congratulations and best wishes to the cadets for this remarkable accomplishment.
