CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Rabindranath Tagore University organized a “Meritorious Student Felicitation Ceremony” on its campus to honor students who performed exceptionally well in the 10th and 12th board examinations. In this grand event, over 300 students and teachers from 34 prestigious schools of Bhopal, Raisen, and Narmadapuram were felicitated for their academic achievements.

The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Radha Singh, Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development. Distinguished guests included Prof. Chancellor Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, Pro Vice Chancellor Sanjeev Gupta, Registrar Sangeeta Johri, and Event Coordinator & Dean of Admissions Dr. Anil Tiwari.

In her inspiring address, Chief Guest Radha Singh appreciated the hard work of the students and the dedication of their teachers. She said, “Meritorious students are the future of our society. Their diligence, commitment, and perseverance play a vital role in nation-building. This ceremony serves as a source of inspiration for all those students who have brought pride to society through their talent.”

Addressing the meritorious students in her welcome speech, Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats emphasized the role of education in uplifting society. She said that education is not merely a tool for knowledge, but a powerful instrument for societal transformation. Rabindranath Tagore University is enriching its students with skills and values. “Our effort is to empower each student in innovation, leadership, and social responsibility. The success of these meritorious students is a matter of pride for all of us.”

On this occasion, Dr. Sanjeev Gupta shared insights about the National Education Policy (NEP) with the students. Dr. Sangeeta Johri stressed the need for innovation and quality in education.

The award distribution included participation from 15 schools in Raisen such as Government CM Rise School, Government Girls School, Excellence School, Central School, Radhakrishnan School, Sandipani School, Oriental School, Galaxy School, Girdhar Public School, St. Peter’s School, among others.

From Bhopal, prominent schools included DAV Public School, Chitransh KD Memorial, MP Junior Model School, Vivekananda Vidyapeeth, Gurunanak Public School, Sengar Public School, Bhopal Academy, etc. From Narmadapuram, major schools included Seth Guru Prasad Agrawal School, Government SNGH School, Government GHS School, and Government SSPM School.

A motivational film showcasing the achievements of Rabindranath Tagore University was also screened during the event. The program began with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The stage was anchored by Ms. Shreya Sharma. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the university’s Registrar, Sangeeta Johri.
